Hinz' plates.

Modern scholars are 100% sure that there is a link between bad habits and malocclusion. It is especially important not to overlook bad habits in childhood, when facial bones, jaws and bite are actively developing. There are many methods how to eliminate bad habits, but the most effective one aimed at the proper bite formation is Hinz' plates. Dr. Hinz plates not only help to get rid of a bad habit, but are also the mildest way for a child to give up old habits. A child plays trying on and wearing a simple apparatus, whose creation required a lot of time and effort.

Hinz' plates are divided into several groups:

1. Standard vestibular plate.
2. Vestibular plate with wire damper.
3. Vestibular plate with a visor.
4. Beaded tongue massage plate.

Hinz' vestibular plates vary in stiffness for milk and mixed bite. Dr. Hinz also offers a magic wand, which is a Stoppy plate, whose task is to make a child stop using pacifiers.

Stoppy plate is recommended for the children aged 2 and more and sometimes a couple of weeks is enough to make a child refuse from a pacifier. Hinz' plates should be used only under an orthodontist's or speech therapist's close supervision.

It is much softer than enamel and is destroyed more rapidly, so decayed baby teeth do not look so bad for the time being.
